What is the advantage over soldering?
In contrast to soldering, crimping does not change the connection due to heat, which is particularly advantageous for flexible stranded wires and industrial applications. A cleanly crimped connection is better able to withstand vibrations and frequent insertion. However, it is important that the crimping tool, sleeves and conductor cross-sections match exactly.
How can I recognize a good crimp result?
A good crimp result is tight, evenly shaped and shows no cracks or crushed conductors. The ferrule must not be able to be twisted or detached from the cable.
